32 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

So I realize this doesn't show the pregnancy well, but it may be the cutest outfit I've ever worn, pregnant or not!

So, here's the baby.

How Far Along? 32 weeks

Total Weight Gain? 25 pounds

Maternity Clothes? Most definitely since I look like Gus Gus (from Cinderella) in regular shirts!

Belly? Measuring right on track.  The doctor asked if I had always been a perfectionist.  I couldn’t see over my belly, but her laugh told me Danny was nodding his head!

Baby size? 19 inches (head to toe) and about 3.9 lbs.—about the size of a head of lettuce
Gender? It’s a surprise! (I think girl.  Danny thinks boy, but he has started referring to her as her.)

Movement? There is break dancing going on in there.  My stomach jumps and bounces to its own rhythm.

Sleep? Please!  I've started waking up multiple times each night (usually to go to the bathroom) and am not always able to go back to sleep.  Then there are times throughout the day when I just start falling asleep—like nap has to happen right then!

Cravings? I still really like Mexican food…but that may not have anything to do with pregnancy.  And my Samoas, of which I think Danny ate too many without fully savoring.  It’s a good thing I have a reserve box for the hospital!

Aversions? I’m not really loving seafood right now.  And the smell of venison or lamb is very unappealing.  And getting up after I’ve sat down on the floor!

Symptoms? I run out of breath if I’m doing more than one thing at a time (you know, like walking across the room while also having a conversation).  And sometimes I just have to sleep—like right then.  I cry all the time too—it could be pregnancy related.  And now I have to go to the bathroom about every half hour!  :P

Preparing for birth? Great strides have been made in getting Josiah’s new room ready.  Just a couple more things to move around and we can move his crib across the hall.  His room won’t be decorated, but he’s used to it since his nursery isn’t even done being decorated.
Labor signs? Some Braxton Hicks.  We’ve been told what to look for in preterm labor, so we’re making sure we bake this baby as long as possible.  It’s hard because we don’t know why my water broke early with Josiah, so there is not a lot we can do preventatively other than to pay attention to my body.

What I miss? Carrying Josiah without getting tired.  Bending over.  Doing the things that need done (like carrying boxes, etc.)

Best Moment this week? The tour of the Redmond FBC.  None of my friends were there to give the tour, but we had another great nurse (you can never know too many) and she took time to answer all the questions I didn’t even know I was going to ask.  All the “what if’s” I didn’t have with Josiah because I never considered them a possibility.  I’m still nervous about this labor and delivery since I don’t have fond memories of the last one, but everything about this delivery is different—plus, their jet tubs look amazing.  I thought about asking if I could take a bath right then!  :D

And this one is just because I thought you should know what my life is really like!
